The standard green looseleaf variety for both fresh market and whole leaf production. Dark green color with excellent uniformity. Leaves are wavy and frilled with heavy weight and thick texture. Has shown tolerance to tomato bushy stunt virus.

PVP protection means these varieties meet federal standards for distinctness, uniformity, and stability — each one has a filed variety description with the USDA. All varieties are developed and trialed from the San Juan Bautista research facility under actual Central Coast field conditions. Disease pressure, soil variability, and seasonal climate shifts are part of the evaluation — not controlled out. What performs in San Juan Bautista is ready for commercial production.
