Orsetti Seed Company develops hybrid vegetable seeds for commercial growers, food processors, and distributors. Seven active crop categories. Research based in San Juan Bautista, California. International distribution through an independent dealer network.
Primary research is based in San Juan Bautista — a greenhouse and field operation built specifically for variety development. Depending on what each species requires, plant breeders also work at sites throughout California, Arizona, and internationally.
The catalog covers seven active categories, with emphasis on hybrid varieties for processing and fresh markets: processing tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, peppers, melons, and lettuce. For brassicas and lettuce, we also maintain open-pollinated breeding programs under PVP protection.
CCOF organic certification has been part of the operation since founding — covering crops, warehouse, mill, and third-party packaging. Varieties reach growers and distributors through an independent dealer network worldwide.

The research team at San Juan Bautista — plant breeders, lab scientists, field technicians — works daily on improving the character and quality of every variety, and maintains the lines that supply stock seed for production.
