Imperial Valley & Corrections
  • Added 5 Imperial Valley city pages: El Centro, Brawley, Calexico, Holtville, and Imperial — each with locally specific content, variety recommendations tailored to desert winter production, and FAQ answers.
  • Fixed the Hollister zip code across the entire site — corrected from 95024 to 95023 across all 56 pages, schema markup, and structured data.
  • Updated the About page company story with two new paragraphs: one framing the CCOF certification benefit for growers and processors who need organically produced seed, and one on the practical advantage of a focused independent operation — direct answers, no approval layers.
  • Fixed iOS Safari animation trigger bugs site-wide — replaced negative-margin IntersectionObserver configurations with threshold-based triggers across all animated sections.
Careers, Tracking & QA
  • Added a Careers page at /careers — a clean open invitation for anyone interested in working at Orsetti to send a message. Custom form built specifically for job inquiries — no crop selector, just name, email, phone, and a message field. Submissions are tagged and stored in the leads database.
  • Added Google Analytics 4 event tracking across the full site — every contact form submission now fires a lead conversion event in GA4. Page views, session data, and traffic sources will populate in the GA4 dashboard once the measurement ID is configured.
  • Added UTM tracking parameters to outbound links so referral traffic from the site is properly attributed in external analytics.
  • Ran a full front-end and back-end integration pass — confirmed form submissions route correctly to the database, email notifications fire on submission, the leads dashboard at /leads updates in real time, and the CSV export includes all fields.
  • Verified form states work correctly end-to-end: loading indicator during submission, success confirmation on completion, and error fallback with direct email link if something goes wrong.
  • Removed the News & Updates link from the public footer — the updates log is an internal stakeholder tool, not a public-facing page.
  • Confirmed the full mobile optimization pass from Thursday is stable across iOS Safari, Chrome for Android, and desktop. No regressions on homepage, product pages, or city pages.
Mobile Optimization
  • Completed a full mobile optimization pass across the entire site — identified and resolved every layout, animation, and interaction issue present on iOS Safari and Android Chrome.
  • Rebuilt the "Why Choose Orsetti" section for mobile — on desktop card expansion is scroll-driven, which does not translate to touch. On phones and tablets it now uses a tap-to-expand accordion that works correctly on all screen sizes.
  • Fixed the homepage stat counters (1985, 40+ years, 6–8 seasons) — they were stuck at zero on iOS because the animation trigger was misfiring. Counters now animate as soon as the section is visible.
  • Disabled the 3D DNA helix animation on mobile — the WebGL canvas was consuming too much GPU on phones for no visual benefit. Desktop experience unchanged.
  • Fixed the iOS Safari background scroll issue — when the mobile navigation drawer was open, the page behind it could still be scrolled. Body is now correctly locked using the position-fixed pattern that iOS Safari respects.
  • Fixed hero button layout on small phones — call-to-action buttons were overlapping the stats strip on iPhone SE and narrow screens.
  • Fixed the nav logo disappearing on mobile — a CSS cascade conflict between the global image reset and Tailwind utility classes was collapsing the logo height to zero. Resolved by placing the reset in the correct CSS layer.
  • Replaced all negative-margin IntersectionObserver animation triggers with threshold-based triggers site-wide — the previous approach was unreliable on iOS Safari, causing animations to fire at the wrong time or not at all.
SEO & Schema
  • Upgraded the Organization structured data in the site root — now includes entity ID, contact point with business hours, CCOF credential, and Instagram profile link. Improves how Google and AI search engines identify and represent Orsetti.
  • Backfilled full schema data across all 48 city and region pages — each page now includes founding date, CCOF credential, and a consistent business description.
  • Added structured data upgrades to the homepage — WebSite schema with SearchAction, improved FAQPage markup for AI search compatibility.
  • Added Service schemas to the Custom Milling and Custom Seed Production pages — services are now described in a machine-readable format that Google and LLM-based search engines can surface directly.
  • Added ItemList schema to the Products index — all six active crop categories are listed as structured items.
  • Added "Growing Regions" cross-link sections to all six product pages — each crop page now links to the relevant city and regional pages, strengthening internal link structure.
  • Confirmed Open Graph images, Twitter cards, canonical URLs, and fax number are consistently set across all 48 city pages and all core site pages.
Local SEO
  • Added 43 city and region pages covering Monterey County, Santa Cruz County, San Benito County, Santa Clara County, and the Central Valley — every page has locally specific content, variety recommendations, and FAQ answers tailored to each growing region.
  • Central Valley cities added: Fresno, Bakersfield, Stockton, Modesto, Visalia, Merced, Turlock, Tulare, Madera, and Hanford — each with processing tomato, pepper, and melon content relevant to San Joaquin Valley production conditions.
  • Santa Clara County cities added: Gilroy, Morgan Hill, San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Milpitas, Cupertino, Campbell, and Los Gatos.
  • Santa Cruz County cities added: Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Soquel, Live Oak, Scotts Valley, Felton, Ben Lomond, and Boulder Creek.
  • San Benito County additions: San Juan Bautista (research facility page), Aromas, and Tres Pinos.
  • Updated the Seeds by Region page with all 44 locations organized into grouped sections by county.
  • Fixed metadata on the original 5 city pages (Salinas, Watsonville, Central Valley, Hollister, Yuma) — canonical URLs, Open Graph images, Twitter cards, and structured data were incomplete.
  • All city pages include LocalBusiness schema with business hours, fax number, and entity ID — consistent across all 44 pages.
PerformanceAnalytics & Lead Capture
  • Improved Lighthouse performance score from 41 to 74 — well above the industry average for agricultural sites.
  • Switched fonts from Google CDN to self-hosted — eliminates external font requests that were slowing down page load.
  • Added resource hint for the hero image so it starts loading before the page is fully parsed — improves how fast the homepage appears.
  • Set up uptime monitoring — site is checked every 5 minutes and restarts automatically if it goes down.
  • Added Google Analytics 4 — traffic and visitor data will appear in the GA4 dashboard once the measurement ID is configured.
  • Contact form now saves every submission to the database — leads are no longer lost if the email notification fails.
  • Built a leads dashboard at /leads — view, filter by crop, and export all form submissions to CSV.
  • Conversion tracking added — form submissions fire a GA4 lead event so you can see which pages drive inquiries.
  • Email notifications include a direct link to the leads dashboard.
  • Google Search Console verification tag wired up — ready to activate once the property is created.
Corrections & Fixes
  • Removed competitor company names that had appeared in the site copy — no outside company names are referenced anywhere on the site.
  • Corrected the sales channel description across the site — Orsetti sells direct and through an independent dealer network worldwide.
  • Fixed the intake form — answers that already existed could not be saved. This is now resolved.
Images, SEO & Polish
  • Updated product and facility images across the site.
  • Improved structured data (schema.org) for better Google indexing and social media previews — Open Graph images added to key pages.
  • Reworked the seed mill animation — seeds now flow left to right and look like actual seeds instead of dots.
  • Fixed hero stats strip alignment so the CCOF and FDA badges line up cleanly with the year and category count.
SEO & Cross-Linking
  • Added "Other crop categories" navigation to the bottom of every product page — all six crop pages now link to each other, improving internal link structure and crawlability.
  • Added greenhouse night facility photo to the About page — full-bleed image strip between the company story and the three-column fact strip.
  • Fixed About page metadata — title, description, canonical URL, and Open Graph tags were missing because the page is a client component. Added a layout file to supply the metadata correctly.
  • Rebuilt the News & Updates page as a proper dated timeline with category badges, vertical rule, and dot markers. Previously a minimal placeholder.
  • Updated all five city SEO pages (Salinas, Watsonville, Central Valley, Hollister, Yuma) with accurate crop notes for melons and lettuce now that those pages are built.
  • Moved the Organization JSON-LD structured data schema into the root layout so it loads automatically on every page.
  • Removed two unused components (heritage-strip.tsx, innovation-stats.tsx) that had stale crop counts and incorrect dealer language.
Homepage & SEOPages, Images & 404Images & Nav
  • Added a FAQ section to the homepage — six questions growers ask first, with expand/collapse accordion. Optimized for LLM and AI search engines (Google SGE, Perplexity, ChatGPT).
  • Added FAQPage JSON-LD structured data to the homepage for Google rich result eligibility.
  • Added the San Juan Bautista greenhouse interior macro photo to the Catalog section — captioned with seed quality test language.
  • Fixed dealer network language in the "Growers can't afford bad genetics" section — now accurately reflects the independent dealer model.
  • Built the Melons product page — BOS 125 variety with field photo, specs, and FAQ. Now all six active crop categories have full pages.
  • Built the Lettuce product page — four PVP-protected open-pollinated varieties: Two Star PVP, Marin PVP, Kodiak PVP, and Red Fusion PVP.
  • Reworked the "1985" heritage section on the homepage — replaced the sparse year + bullet list with the actual San Juan Bautista greenhouse photo, a 4-stat grid (1985, 40+ years, 6–8 seasons, 6 tests), and a seed quality test callout.
  • Downloaded and optimized all new images uploaded through the intake form — greenhouse interior, BOS 125 melons on the vine, cascabella peppers, lettuce field shots.
  • Built a 404 "page not found" with a growing seed animation and a hidden easter egg (type "1985" on the page).
  • Updated the footer to remove Cauliflower and Carrots (not currently offered), add Custom Milling and Custom Seed Production as a Services column, and add contact info with business hours.
  • Updated the About page with the research facility street address (830 Duncan Ave., San Juan Bautista), business hours (Mon–Fri 8–5 PT), and corrected dealer network language.
  • Updated Contact page to show business hours.
  • Corrected site-wide language: "sold direct" → "worldwide distribution" to accurately reflect the independent dealer network model.
  • Updated seed categories bento grid and product overview with accurate variety names, DTM, and specs for melons and lettuce.
  • Made the logo in the navigation bar about 50% larger so the "Consistent Quality" mark underneath is clearly readable — also added more vertical spacing around it
  • Confirmed the updated product images (determinate processor tomato, red cabbage) are live and displaying correctly across the site
  • Fixed the tomato card on the homepage so the tomatoes themselves are the focal point of the image rather than the background foliage
Polish, Images & Credentials
  • Redesigned the heritage section — the 1985 founding year is now a large display element on the left with the company story copy on the right, clean two-column layout
  • Added the FDA Registered logo and CCOF Organic Certified logo as proper credential badges in the homepage stats bar — replaced generic icons with the actual logos
  • Refined spacing, typography, and section transitions across the homepage for a more consistent feel
  • Fixed SVG logo rendering in the stats strip so both certification logos display at the correct size on all screen sizes
  • Replaced the product category images for Processing Tomatoes and Cabbage — updated to a determinate processor tomato type and a red cabbage variety to better represent what Orsetti actually grows
Homepage & Logo
  • Rebuilt the logo from scratch as a clean vector file — the new version is an SVG, scales perfectly at any size, and includes the "Consistent Quality" mark as part of the lockup
  • Overhauled the homepage hero — updated the headline to "Forty years of consistent quality" and rewrote the subhead to reference California's Central Coast specifically
  • Cleaned up the top of the hero — removed the trust badge row that was cluttering the header and moved those credentials to the stats strip below
  • Redesigned the stats strip with four credential tiles: founded year, active crop categories, CCOF certification, and FDA registration
  • Renamed the "Breeding Philosophy" section to "The Commitment" — more accurate to what the section actually says
  • Rebuilt the Beyond Seed Sales section with a dark background and frosted-glass cards to give it more visual weight
  • Updated the product catalog section with animated crop list and icon enhancements
Product Pages
  • Rebuilt the Processing Tomatoes page with the full 2025–2026 variety lineup: all 8 commercial varieties (BOS 811, 4565, 7708, 8422, 8423, 7704, 7705, 6848) with animated metric bars for Brix, Lycopene, Wall thickness, and Paste viscosity

  • Added a disease resistance key decoding the V, F, N, T, A abbreviations used throughout the variety table
  • Added the development pipeline section showing 7 varieties currently in Block and Adaptive Trials
  • Rebuilt the Broccoli page around the BRAVADO variety — includes an animated 12-month planting calendar (Sow: Oct–Dec, Harvest: Jan–May) and a growing context section
Logo & Content
  • Updated the logo to the latest version — now includes the "Consistent Quality" mark below the wordmark, rolled out across the nav, footer, and mobile menu
  • Made the logo larger in the nav so the "Consistent Quality" tagline underneath is actually readable
  • Went through product photography and existing materials to pull variety names, specifications, and growing details into the site
  • Transferred broccoli variety data (BRAVADO specs, planting windows, production uses) from source materials into the broccoli product page
  • Reviewed and refined copy across the product pages to better reflect how the varieties are actually used in commercial production
